PM Emphasizes Youth's Vital Role in Nation Building

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia highlighted the pivotal contribution of youth in the nation's development across all sectors, emphasizing their role in upholding past achievements while laying a robust foundation for future generations.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Central Committee Meeting of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia 2024, held at Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh, PM Hun Manet commended the active engagement of youth in advancing the nation's interests. The event served as a crucial platform for leaders and members of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia to assess achievements, identify shortcomings, and discuss strategies for the upcoming year.

PM Hun Manet underscored the significance of youth participation in various national endeavors, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches to inspire and engage young people in the country's development journey. He reiterated the importance of fostering a spirit of unity, creativity, and adaptability among youth to propel Cambodia towards prosperity and strength.

"The youth play a central role in advancing our nation towards development, prosperity, and the establishment of a strong, independent, and peaceful society," remarked PM Hun Manet.

Moreover, the Prime Minister acknowledged the youth's dedication to upholding values of patriotism and national pride, noting their active involvement in implementing the Pentagon Strategy - Phase 1. This strategy outlines key policy programs and measures aimed at steering Cambodia towards its vision of becoming a high-income country by 2050.

PM Hun Manet commended the leadership of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia at all levels for their tireless efforts in implementing the "Youth Strategic Plan for the Motherland Cause 2023-2028." He praised their unity, collective responsibility, and unwavering commitment to advancing the nation's interests.
